i will create a backup job in be2012 Sp1a, the should backup the server every 2 hours intervall. the job start on 7 a.m in the morning, should repeat every 2 hours and end at 5 p.m in the afternoon.

In the Schedule Option in the job i found under the Recurrence Pattern the option

hours ..

every 2 hours and "at: 7:00"

Starting on date

But where i can define the time from the last backup?

Hi, I've solaris client backup is partially successful. It is throwing following BMR errors.

Hello,

we are using the following System:

Windows Server 2008 r2 64bit, Tandberg LTO4 SCSI drive (driver Version 1.0.7.0),  SCSI Adapter LSI Ultra320 2000 series

Backup Exec 2010 Version 13.0 Rev. 2896

After changing our old drive (Tandberg LTO2 SCSI drive) to the LTO4 drive our Transfer Rate of the Backup drops from 1250 MB/s to 150 MB/s.

The Transfer Rate of the LTO4 Drive should be aroung 5000 MB/s.

We reinstall the Tape Driver in Backup Exec, we tried a Backup without compression, but still the Transfer rate is very slow.

Because we can't create a full Backup, I reinstall the old drive and everything is working fine again.

Please give us some hints.

Hi, I'm trying to configure Dedupe Server in DLO 7.5 but after successfull creating the dedupe server when I try to create the Dedup storage I receive the following message: Could not Authenticate User, Do You Want To Retry Y/N. If I click Y the pop up came again.

warum unterstützt die SSR 2013 GRO  die SharePoint 2010 Foundation Option nicht mehr?

bei der ver. BESR 8.5 war noch alles in Ordnung, man konnte jede kleinste Datei wiederherstellen

und was ist jetzt ab SSR 2011 ist nicht mehr vorhanden das finde ich nicht in Ordnung  und schlimmste ist dass man keine Antwort bekommt

Ich habe mit Support kontakt aufgenommen (das hat 14 Tage hin und her gedauert) die Techniker aus Indien und USA

wussten überhaupt nicht was dieser Fehler bedeuten. Nach 4 Wochen  habe Antwort bekommen dass das überhaupt nicht funktioniert, weil die Funktion

für SharePoint 2010 Foundation wird nicht mehr unterstützt. Hilfe bei Lösung dieses Problems habe  ich   keine bekommen.

Vieleicht  hat jemand eine Idee wie ich das lösen kann.

Recently configured a B2D2T backup strategy,with 1 Full weekly backup and daily incrementals

I select a SQL database and the latest Full and Incremental backup from the Disk-sets,then pressing check selections gives the following error:

The SQL Server restore selections for database xxxx are missing one or more required backup sets in the selected Full-differential-log-log sequence. This may be caused by selecting full,differential,and\or log backups that are not associated.

If I select the latest Full backup from a tape-set and incremental from Disk the selections check out fine,as does a Full and incremental from Tape. Why is the Full from disk plus any incremental giving this problem?

I have backup offline running successfully. At beginning it stopped the apps/DB and after backup finish it supposed to start the apps/DB, but the DB is not up automatically. Here I got from the log:

I was getting email alerts in plain text format in previous Backup exec versions.

I am getting them in HTML format in Backup Exec 2012.

Is it possible to send the email alerts in plain text format in BE2012? I only see an option to change the format of job log. My ticketing system does not support converting emails in HTML format to tickets.

We have three identical (except for names) domains set up, using BE 2010 R3. The backup setup is a standard GFS with full monthly, full weekly and differential daily. The full backups runs without any problems.

Now two of the nodes generate errors on the daily SQL-backup. "SQL Agent was not used to create the last full, differential or log backup of this database." Error code is E0000363. I've come so far as to tracing it to a backup that runs every day at 04:00 AM, five hours after our own backups run. It turns out that it is BE's own database maintenance that some how messes things up for two of our domains, but one is still working.

Now one thing that is a bit strange is that if one checks the backupset table in the databse msdb, the working node doesn't list any backup jobs that runs at 04:00 AM, but the two domains that don't work has those jobs listed.

One co-worker suggested that turning off the database maintenance would work but I'm dubious to that, seeing as one domain is in working condition. Database maintenance is enabled on all three domains.

I am looking at having all my Geo clusters using Hitachi storage to use copy on write and present the LUN to a media server. I dont want windows to put a signature on this LUN so it wont be mounted, just presented on the media server, how can it be backed up?

On 7.1.0.4 but upgrading to 7.5.0.5 over the next few weeks. Is there any snapshot technology (api) for Hitachi available?

The only way I can see it working is if the LUN is mounted to the media server and has a drive letter, to do a SAN media server backup, even then I want 20 odd Geo's which have an X:\ to copy to a single LUN which needs to have all these mount points underneath.

Anyone have any idea's?

we are backing up our physical media server to tape (SDR).

In case of a complete recovery I need to:

- Build a new server

- Attach the tape library to the new server

- Boot from SDR recovery disk

- Specify the disaster recovery information file (.DR) - Not on tape

- Follow the wizard

I have a doubt that is the .dr file cannot reside on the tape.

Am I right?
